Swim A Song

Swim a Song, superbly designed by Swim Supreme and Total Swimming, is an alternative, fun, innovative and effective programme for introducing babies and young children, accompanied by an adult to the exciting world of aquatics. Swim a Song is recommended for ages 4 months to 4 years.

There are 32 songs in the programme, many adapted from well-known nursery rhymes, to make them more relevant in introducing fundamental basic water skills and confidence. Themes including movement and water confidence accompany each song, designed to introduce the core FUNdamental skills at an early age.

The Swim a Song programme is supported by the Swim a Song Parent Pack, which enables parents to also have a copy of the music and a guide to the actions to reinforce key skills through play at bath-time in the comfort of their own home. The Swim a Song Teacher Pack enables teachers to deliver Swim a Song in a class environment.

The songs offer gentle progressive steps, leading to the successful attainment of six Swim a Song Awards.
