Water Safety 1 Award is the first in the series of three Water Safety Awards. The Water Safety Awards teach essential skills in water safety, personal survival and self-rescue. The Water Safety Awards are delivered as part of the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme, usually whilst learners are working towards their Learn to Swim Framework Stages 1-7 Awards.

The Water Safety 1 Award includes a certificate and cloth badge. A metal Water Safety 1 Award pin badge can be purchased separately.
