Competitive Start

The Competitive Start Awards are a progression from our Learn to Swim Programme and are often taught at club level. The Preliminary Competitive Start Award begins with a deep-water start, gradually transitioning to the side of the pool and shallower water. The Competitive Start Award focuses on mastering safe race dives from a starter block.
