The Swim England Water Safety 1 Award is the first of three Water Safety Awards and it can be achieved by a learner who is working through the Learn to Swim Framework.
To achieve this award, learners must be able to demonstrate their ability to complete a number of outcomes, including performing a swivel entry, floating on their back for 30 seconds and showing an understanding of water safety.
Learners will achieve the Water Safety 1 Award as they work towards achieving the Learn to Swim Stage 3 Award and the Rainbow Distance 10m Award.
Learners can also be awarded with a pin badge, which can be purchased separately to celebrate achieving the Water Safety 1 Award.
