The Swim England Water Safety 2 Award is the second of three Water Safety Awards and it can be achieved by a learner who is working through the Learn to Swim Framework.
To achieve this award, learners must be able to demonstrate their ability to complete a number of outcomes, including performing a fall in entry, treading water for 30 seconds without floatation equipment and being able to recite and show understanding of the four key water safety messages.
Learners will achieve the Water Safety 2 Award as they work towards achieving the Learn to Swim Stage 5 Award and the Rainbow Distance 15m, Rainbow Distance 10m Front Crawl, Rainbow Distance 10m Backstroke, Rainbow Distance 10m Breaststroke and Rainbow Distance 10m Butterfly Awards.
Learners can also be awarded with a pin badge, which can be purchased separately to celebrate achieving the Water Safety 2 Award.
