The Swim England Water Safety 3 Award is the last of three Water Safety Awards and it can be achieved by a learner who is working through the Learn to Swim Framework.
To achieve this award, learners must be able to demonstrate their ability to complete a number of outcomes, including performing a straddle entry, treading water for 90 seconds without floatation equipment and with minimal movement and being able to perform the Huddle Position with at least three other participants, without the use of floatation equipment.
Learners will achieve the Water Safety 3 Award as they work towards achieving the Learn to Swim Stage 7 Award and the Rainbow Distance 50m, Rainbow Distance 100m, Rainbow Distance 25m Front Crawl, Rainbow Distance 25m Backstroke, Rainbow Distance 25m Breaststroke and Rainbow Distance 25m Butterfly Awards.
Learners can also be awarded with a pin badge, which can be purchased separately to celebrate achieving the Water Safety 2 Award.
