The Swim England Learn to Swim Stage 8 Swimming Award is the first Award in the Aquatic Skills Framework when a learner takes part in competitive swimming.
During this Stage, learners will be able to perform a turn in all four strokes from 10 metres in to 15 metres out. Learners will also be able to swim 400 metres using one stroke.
Whilst working through the Learn to Swim Stage 8 Swimming Award, learners also achieve the Swimming Challenge Bronze Award, Rainbow Distance 200m and Rainbow Distance 400m Awards.
