The Swim England Swimming Challenge Bronze Award is the first of four Swimming Challenge Awards that learners can achieve in the Aquatic Skills Framework when taking part in competitive swimming.

To achieve this award, learners must be able to perform both the activities in section A and section B, in the specified order without pause.

Section A asks learners to:

1. Jump into water of at least full reach depth.

2. Swim 10 metres, followed by a surface dive into water of at least full reach depth and underwater swim for a distance of 5 metres.

3. Tread water in a vertical position for three minutes.

4. Scull head-first on the back for 15 metres with the feet at, or near, the surface throughout.

Learners can achieve this award whilst working towards their Learn to Swim Stage 8 Swimming Award and the Rainbow Distance 200m and Rainbow Distance 400m Awards.

Learners can also be awarded with a pin badge, which can be purchased seperately to celebrate achieving the Swimming Challenge Bronze Award.
